This autumn term Y3 will be studying the Stone Age and finding out about Stone Age homes, weapons, farming and food. After half term we will be having a Stone Age day when a ‘real life’ Stone Age man will be visiting is! We will be finding out about rocks; the different types and their properties. We shall be making our very own composter too!

In November, Y3 will be having a wonderful educational experience at the Life Centre where they will be experiencing a 4D motion ride, a science workshop on ‘Fantastic Fossils’ and ice skating.

As part of geography, Y3 will be building on their map and atlas skills to find out where Barcelona actually is in the world and what life is like for the people who live there. Y3 will also be looking at the amazing work of Antoni Gaudi and they will use clay to make their own mini Gaudi inspired art work. In science in the second half term we shall be studying all about light and dark.

Tag rugby skills and dance will be taught in PE lessons. As well as that, Y3 will have French, RE and Art taught by Mrs Bunn and Mrs Watts.

In December, Y3 will also be taking part in a whole school Christingle service. Please check school newsletters for more dates and details of forthcoming events.
